Sometimes you just wanna wear flower pants. Don’t hate! I can seriously see myself wearing these all the time with all different tops and shoes. They will go with white, chambray, navy, green, grey…. and of course this citron color. The great thing about any floral print is that there are many colors involved, so that means you can wear it with many different things. And also stripes.
I mean, how can you have a bad day when you wear pants with flowers on them? The answer is, you can’t. When you wear loud clothing, make sure to keep the accessories simple – Simple jewelry, shoes and handbag
I will write a post soon to show how to wear these in multiple ways!
Some days happen to be Mondays. And Mondays are the worst of the days. That is why we have shirt dresses. To allow you to sleep in an extra 10-15 minutes, all you need is a trusty shirt dress, so you can wake up, throw it on, and just be done with it.
This one I love because it doesn’t need much styling and it doesn’t have a collar. (Collars are too much to deal with on a Monday, lets be honest)
A simple necklace or two, nude heels, and a bright purse are all that is needed to make this into an outfit. Bright shoes would also be fun with this dress, or even flats. Happy Monday!!
If you follow my blog at all you probably know about my obsession with neon skirts. When I bought this one, I wasn’t sure how I was going to wear it, but I knew that I could make it work. Of course it will look great with navy blue, offwhite, taupe, and black, but why not try something new?
Periwinkle and citron.
A lighter periwinkle looks better, but I can’t afford to keep buying things. SO DON’T TEMPT ME!!
Silk tops might not work great for summer BBQs, so for something more casual, try a tank with a jean vest. (I feel like I talk about summer BBQs ALL THE TIME, yet, I might go to one a year….. what is normal? I don’t know) The jean vests at Old Navy are surprisingly fashionable and are cropped just enough. You could go to J. Crew and spend $100, but go to Old Navy and get one for $30 instead.
It’s SPRING!! Don’t just put your toes in, JUMP into color!!
I don’t know about you, but I was not ready to start waking up in the dark again. For me, the time change looks like pressing snooze approximately 3 times, and have about 15 minutes to get ready for work. Which breaks down to 9 minutes doing makeup, 1 minute to brush my hair, and about 5 minutes to figure out what the heck I am going to wear. Sweatshirt dress and flannel scarf? Sounds good.
Because, I want to wear sweatshirts to work every day.
J. Crew has a way with words. Not only do they have the best colors, but they also are the best at naming their colors. I don’t usually go for pink, but this color has a little bit of an edge. I also think this color is going to start popping up a lot in the Spring (Along with a light to medium blue).
I look forward to wearing it with black skinny jeans, white jeans, and anything in medium blue — like the scarf pictured below!
Oh how I love a good drapey sweater. I am always looking for a good one that is cozy yet still flattering, and of course J. Crew has that look down. They are not only the experts in color naming, but also disheveled chic. Which is how I try to dress on Mondays, even if it is by accident.
I bought this dress at LOFT and I’ve been waiting to wear it until got warmer, but I’ve become impatient. However, I will admit I am thoroughly enjoying the snow. There isn’t much better to me than waking up to a fresh blanket of snow, even if I do have to drive into work…. that just means I HAVE to treat myself to a Caramel Flan Latte, right?
But adding bright accessories to your outfit really will brighten your day, I promise.
To make this Spring dress Winter appropriate I added the obvious tights and boots, but then also a chambray shirt underneath. Comfortable, warm, and put together. This look is possible with almost any t-shirt dress, and there are tons of options available right now! I will also probably try this look with a crisp white button down as well.
Something that people do not expect in winter is for you to wear white. It is the season of blacks and browns and all the boring colors there are. But what about those white dresses you have from the summer, who in all honesty, didn’t get worn much because of all the opportunities for them to get a little ketchup on them at the family BBQ. Take them out for a stroll, they deserve it.
All you need to do is add tights, boots, and a blazer — BAM! Outfit done. If I had a maroon leather jacket, I’d put it with this for going out.
As you can probably tell, I’m pretty obsessed with maroon right now. Like, I want at least one of every of piece of clothing in it.
Here is another way that I’ve worn a white dress in winter. Not much has changed…. just the jacket and jewelry.
